Write your Congressman in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Elected officials want to hear from you. It’s their job to listen.
Tell them to end the H-1B , H-1C and L-1B programs.

H-1B is not a free market program.

Many people think that H-1B is part of a free market in labor. False. H-1B is not a free market program. It’s a special interest subsidy.

Milton Friedman scoffs at the idea of the government stocking a farm system for the likes of Microsoft and Intel.

There is no doubt that the [H-1B] program is a benefit to their employers, enabling them to get workers at a lower wage, and to that extent, it is a subsidy.

Foreign students, who often roll over to H-1B visas, do not typically pay their way through school. US citizens pay for the education and training of foreign students. That’s like forcing a company to pay its competition to enter the market. Citizens should not be forced to subsidize foreign labor competition.
